West End Divers PADI Diving Courses

West End Divers offers a full range of PADI courses, taught by a team of dedicated professionals. For your first experience with SCUBA, we have introductory and beginner courses. For the certified diver, we offer training in advanced diving, all the way through to Divemaster. West End Divers is a fully accredited PADI Dive Center.
Discover SCUBA Diving

For those with limited time, or wanting to give SCUBA a try, this fun and safe PADI program will give you a taste of the underwater world.Includes classroom session, dockside orientation, shallow water practice, and a real dive over the coral reef guided by a PADI professional.

Price: $100
Time: 2-3 hours
Maximum Depth: 40ft/12m

Open Water Dive Course

Accepted worldwide as the highest standard in dive training, this coure will take you through the skills and knowledge for diving in the open ocean. It involves academics, with books and video, confined water training where you get used to the equipment and safety procedures of SCUBA, and training dives out over the coral reef.

Price: $250 (plus $30 for your own book)
Time: 3-4 days
Maximum Depth: 60ft/18m

Advanced Open Water Diver

Improve your dive skills and experience different kinds of diving. There are two compulsory dives: deep diving and underwater navigation, followed by three elective dives. Choose from the following: wreck, night, drift, naturalist, peak performance bouancy, or photography.

Emergency First Responder

Learn to manage accidents and emergencies in this internationally accredited first-aid course. Not only for diving emergencies, you'll learn the basics of treating injuries, coordinating rescues, administering CPR, and more.

Time: 1 Day
Rescue Diver

Take your diving skills to a new level, increasing your confidence and dive awareness. The course allows you to anticipate, identify, and respond to a variety of dive safety situations. Your bouancy and comfort levels increase as you learn to help others in the water. Includes classrom sessions, surface, and underwater training.

Price: $300 (plus $25 for your own books)
Time: 3-4 Days
Maximum Depth: 130ft/40m

Divemaster

The first step on the path of the PADI professional, the divemaster course is the basis for your diving career. A truly intensive course, you will be immersed in all aspects of the dive industry. You will learn to lead dives, repair and maintain equipment, operate compressors, and even learn to handle and navigate our dive boats. There is an intensive academic section with exams on subjects as diverse as dive physics, physiology, the underwater world, and more. Most Divemaster candidates rent a house here in West End and rack up hundreds of dives during the course, taking a few months to work through the material and dive experiences.

Maximum Depth: 130ft/40m

Specialities

Expand on your diving knowledge and opportunities by taking special PADI courses on subjects that range from night diving, wreck diving, drift diving, underwater photography, and more. Courses are also available in Nitrox (Enriched Air) diving.
